South Indian Ringling Museum Wedding – Robyn and Santosh

Robyn and Santosh have a traditional South Indian hindu ceremony at the Hyatt in Sarasota and a John & Mable Ringling Museum wedding.

Though they live in NY now, Santosh is originally from Sarasota, so of course they chose that area as their gorgeous destination for their wedding. Being lovers of art, they chose to have a Ringling Museum wedding for the latter part of their celebration. Beforehand they had their traditional South Indian Hindu ceremony at the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota. We started bright and early at 8am and captured all the beautiful, colorful saris being put on Santosh’s aunt and mom. It was my first South Indian wedding and the ceremony was very intricate. The design for the Indian ceremony was by Suhaag Garden. My favorite part by far was the reveal through the cloth and Santosh and Robyn placing floral wreaths on each other. After the ceremony there was a break for lunch of mostly vegetarian food (YES!) by Tabla Cuisine and my tummy was happy. Then they all went back to the rooms to change for the next event.

John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art – PARTY!

Wait until you see Robyn’s AMAZING dress by Needle and Thread. Your jaws are going to drop! I also can’t forget Santosh’s custom blue suit by Vahram Mateosian! We all went to the Ringling Museum of Art for the wedding party. Of course we took advantage of the amazing museum and grounds to do some photos. Thank you to Robyn and Santosh for giving me so much time and creative freedom. The rest of the night consisted of more Indian food (yay!) and dancing. The courtyard looked incredible with the help of Confetti Events and FH Weddings (florals and rentals). Check out all the amazingness below!

Also thank you to: My amazing second shooter, Melissa with MAD Images, Femme Akoi for hair and makeup, the beautiful cake by Cakes by Ron, the delicious food at the reception by Tableseide, and Jay Gordon for the awesome entertainment.

PS- I photographed for 16-17 hours so yes, there are a LOT of images below.
